How to Start a Vegetable Garden

Let’s remove some of the overwhelm and confusion that comes with starting a vegetable garden! This class is a beginner-level class designed for new and intermediate gardeners who want to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and herbs close to home. In this class, you’ll learn the basics of: 

-Selecting the right location for your vegetable garden

-Making a landscape sketch of the space and how to decide where to add gardens

-Deciding on what soil mixture to use, and how to amend existing garden beds

-Selecting raised beds, pots, and other containers for gardening

-Creating a basic planting plan that aligns with Central Ohio’s seasons and your experience level

-Organic vegetable garden maintenance (and concrete tips & tricks for maintaining & planting)
