Nature Photography with your DSLR Camera: Beginner's Course

Join Amanda Leahy, of CTRLZ Digital Designs, to learn how to take creative control of your DSLR camera and move beyond its auto setting. This class will teach beginners how to use their camera’s shutter speed and aperture priority settings to freeze their subject in motion or create that “blurry” background effect. If those terms are new, no need to worry—you have found the right class! Together, we will learn about the exposure triangle, white balance, and simple ways to see quick improvements that will also allow you to build your skills as a budding photographer. Class attendees will receive helpful, original handouts to take home for reference and some additional tips to implement as they grow. Weather permitting, learners may also be invited on a casual photo walk in the Ohio Herb Center gardens or around Creekside for practice and feedback.
