About the Event
The Tall Standing People live in a realm of mystery and legend. Some trees hide fairies while others prevent lightning strikes. Some trees remove illness, fevers, and warts, while others offer charms for love and romance. Old trees often open portals into other worlds, or inspire moments of enlightenment. Experience trees in this hands-on workshop that will help you put down your own roots and cultivate relationships with the vital Standing People in your neighborhood. Learn how to identify winter trees by examining twig specimens, process some tree medicine to take home, drink tree medicine tea. All this while listening to magnificent stories and methods for developing relationship with trees. Plus take home an identification chart and a sample tree medicine to experiment with. Taught by Leah Wolfe, MPH Community Herbalist and Health Educator of the Trillium Center.
