About the Event
When herbs "don’t work" it’s often because of a tendency to use herbs like drugs instead of following the wisdom of the old ways. And many herbalists make the mistake of matching herbs to diagnoses or symptoms while neglecting the Troika. The Troika can’t be ignored. The Troika is what it is. The crux of the old ways of herbalism is to first consider a person’s constitution (aka Troika). An herb that is good for me might not be so good for you. How do you know the difference? First you learn to accept your inner (and outer) Troika. Then you identify your Troika’s allies. All plants are potential allies, but the Troika persists and demands. You must feed your Troika properly or it may lead you down the path of dis-ease. As a clinical herbalist, guest instructor Leah Wolfe, MPH, has seen many people peel away layers of dis-ease as they learn to support their Troika, their whole person, their complex spirit-mind-body. Come learn to feed your Troika. Delve deeper into whole healing. And then, learn to integrate the 5 elements of herbal energetics into plant remedies that are made according to the individual. Class fee for this 4-hour intensive includes expert instruction and a personalized remedy to take home. $100/pp
